Of the Sarracenia species that colour red, there are few that colour as completely through as the S. ‘Maroon’ can. This compact Sarracenia species is a beautiful hybrid of Sarracenia purpurea x rubra and known for its deep red colour. Of course, it only gets this colour when the cups get older. Light is the key word to actually get the colour.
