Epiphyllum ‘Dietmar Paetz’ is an elegant epiphytic cactus known for its dramatic, oversized pink flowers and gently arching stems. Unlike desert cacti, this one has a softer, more tropical feel, with flat, leaf-like stems that cascade beautifully over time.
The real magic happens when it flowers. Large, luminous blooms appear, bringing a sense of occasion and colour that feels almost unexpected from a cactus. It’s one of those plants that quietly grows… and then suddenly steals the show.
It prefers bright, indirect light and a slightly more humid environment than typical cacti. Water moderately, allowing the top of the soil to dry between waterings, and use a well-draining, airy compost such as an orchid or epiphytic mix.
