This variety was crossed by Matthew Soper. The plant produces long, sturdy cups, the upper part of which is a deep red colour. Like all Sarracenias, the Juthatip Soper produces nectar to attract insects, but the amount of nectar that the plant produces is remarkable. In late summer, plants literally drip the nectar.
